Local: (Project YouthBank Canada)
Our work in Canada will be to talk to businesses and governments and encourage them to donate their PCs, phones, and communication accessories to Youth For Transparency International for refurbishment and re-use for low income families and non-profit community organizations in priority neighbourhoods. Young people would acquire competent (basic) IT skills which are absolutely necessary for employment in most countries, become innovators or inventors in the open lab school, YTI will provide training, employment opportunities and micro-credit for self or group. Advocate for social policy alternatives in all ramifications as it affects young people and families.
YTI Canada will sustain and build leadership projects through raising sustainable funds to support qualified candidates for a tuition free educational and apprenticeship fee.
Use sports as a tool for social change, where Street hockey, soccer, basket ball etc will be very competitive and make young people active citizens and responsible, a strategy that is inclusive, converting past times to useful times, having fun and career at the same time devoid of crime and drugs…
Our long term objective:
YTI wants to implement IT programs in countries, organizations and community groups where it’s most needed and appropriate. To provide global educational fellowship grant for qualified candidates for college studies.
